Building is in the blood for Matt and Carly with extended family in the trade too. Always seeking a new challenge, the Bergs have bought land and built their family home three times to date – testament to their passion for perfection.
From an early career entrenched in the snow sports industry, to one in project management, Matt’s experience can be defined by a love of place. Having worked for prominent local builders, he founded Berg with the purpose of delivering homes with an integrity rarely seen in the area.
Matt’s passion for building is matched by Carly’s for interiors, having worked on mid to high-end luxury homes, and developing specialties in cabinetry and flooring along the way, she holds a particular passion for kitchens, bathrooms and tapware, with a focus on tailored spaces – those with the users’ specific needs in mind.

With their two children, Lola and Ollie, they embrace the outdoor lifestyle of Albury and the surrounding high country, always looking for opportunities to connect with their passions, as well as traveling to Melbourne to maintain connections with the architecture community there.
Professionally, the pair know that in a small community, more than anywhere, reputation is what makes or breaks a business. They strive every day to bring honesty and integrity to each and every relationship.
