Closely managing the process, from design to handover, is the only way to truly deliver on your unique dreams. We avoid mass-produced in favour of one-offs. We use materials and fittings that last. And if your vision is complex we’ll embrace it – challenges excite us. Mundanity bores us.

A family business with its roots in Albury and surrounds, we combine global influences with local know-how. We keep our business deliberately small so we can keep our service personal – placing value on being accommodating and flexible, and maintaining a love for the craft.

Whether it’s a knock-down-re-build or your land is ready to go, we start by digging deep into you and your family’s needs, your expectations, your scrapbook clippings and Pinterest moodboards.
When embarking on the design process of your dream home, we look at site challenges early and consider how the spaces will be used. Work from home? Let’s make sure your office takes in those magnificent views. Grandkids visit on the weekend? Your design might need flexible living spaces.

We’re believers in bespoke design, not a checklist of standard fixtures and fittings.
When you design with Berg, we integrate interiors alongside architectural aspects. We’ll collaborate with you to ensure your personal taste is reflected seamlessly throughout your home. We help you make the difficult decisions, introducing you to suppliers where you have the opportunity to touch, feel and hand-select your finishes.
We also offer an electrical and lighting design consultation, helping to deliver artful, playful and practical light to your new home.

Our integrated on-site team of full-timers and trusted contractors, led by our site manager, are hand-picked to build to our exacting standards. They are truly a part of the Berg family, and meet our most important criteria – they are a pleasure to be around.
Directors Matt and Carly oversee all of our sites, ensuring our efficient and fluid build processes are maintained, and our often busy sites are well orchestrated.
We support local suppliers where it’s possible to, helping to support and grow the local economy and community.

What’s good for the environment is good for us, and our bank balances.
We place value in a sustainability review with each of our builds, making sure we’re making energy efficient choices – through a close focus on aspects like thermal mass, cross ventilation and repurposed materials. We sometimes even deliver completely off-grid homes.
We aim to deliver well above standard government mandates, delivering energy efficiencies by utilising better performing products.

When creating the sanctuary that is your new home, we place an importance on considering the outside too, in particular its connection with your natural surrounds.
Our landscape designer can work with you to plan large gardens and small courtyards, flat blocks and tricky slopes. They consider place-appropriate planting, light and shade, and bringing nature into your space.
